Onijah Andrew Robinson, a 33-year-old woman from New York, traveled to Karachi, Pakistan, in October 2024 to marry 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon, whom she had met online. Upon her arrival, Memon’s family opposed the union, leading to the cancellation of the wedding. Feeling stranded, Robinson camped outside the family’s home and held press conferences, which garnered significant media attention and made her a viral sensation. 
Despite initial refusals to leave Pakistan, Robinson has now decided to return to the United States. The Sindh Governor extended her visa and arranged a flight back home, concluding her dramatic saga.
