Man reveals results of hair transplant, claiming it left him ‘looking like an alien’

A man has captured public attention after sharing the results of his hair transplant, claiming it makes him ‘look like an alien’.
Kanah Flex posted on TikTok to discuss his recent hair transplant procedure, which took place at a London clinic.

The performer quickly clarified that he did not travel to Turkey for the surgery.

“For anyone that’s gonna ask, no – I did not go to Turkey to get my hair done,” he said. “I got my hair done in Wembley, to be exact. Kenton, Harrow.”

Kanah mentioned that he arrived at the clinic around 8:30 am for an initial consultation.

After completing some paperwork, he then had a discussion with the doctor who would be performing the surgery.

“We design what I need, we talk about everything I need,” he added on TikTok.

The main focus of Kanah’s transplant was the crown area, the highest point of his head.

He explained how hair follicles were extracted from the back of his head, termed the ‘donor area’.

“My hairline was actually alright to be honest, it was literally just mainly my crown and my donor area,” Kanah noted.

“If I brought my hairline forward it would have meant that they’d have to take more grafts – a graft is two hairs.

“I got 4,000 grafts done, so that means 8,000 hairs have been implanted into my head.”

Kanah also described the anesthetic process, which involved several injections around his head before the procedure began.

“I could just feel my head swelling, like a balloon. After a while I stopped feeling it,” he described.

Despite the passage of time, Kanah’s head remained swollen as he recorded the TikTok video, humorously comparing himself to Will Ferrell’s character Megamind based on viewer comments.

Is this something to worry about?

Dr Emrah Cinik, who manages a hair transplant clinic in Turkey, has stated that such swelling ‘usually isn’t a health risk’.

This is the case if the swelling diminishes within a few days.

“Any surgical procedure, including a hair transplant, causes tissue damage that triggers an inflammatory response,” his website explains.

“This response leads to fluid and immune cell accumulation in the affected area, which can spread to the face, causing oedema.

“To minimize the pain of hair transplantation, anaesthetics are injected into the scalp. These fluids, along with certain solutions used for graft handling, can accumulate and contribute to oedema.”

Kanah has provided an update, indicating that the swelling is lessening.

“Trust the process,” he reassured his followers.
