Victoria Goodwin, 32, was taken into custody in Clark County, Nevada, and is facing charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Per the New York Post, authorities say she allegedly conspired with an inmate in a Florida prison to arrange her husband’s killing.

Chilling Allegations Uncovered

Authorities claim Victoria had been in communication with convicted murderer Grant Amato, who is serving a life sentence in Florida for the 2019 killings of his parents and brother.

Amato was featured in the Paramount+ true crime documentary CTRL+ALT+DESIRE, which Victoria allegedly watched before reaching out to him as a pen pal.

According to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, Victoria expressed a desire to escape her marriage, allegedly telling Amato: “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”

Police say she provided Amato with detailed information about Goodwin’s whereabouts, including his filming schedule while he was on location in California with Ghost Adventures host Zak Bagans.

The plan, according to authorities, involved hiring a hitman, with Victoria allegedly setting aside $11,515 for the job and making an upfront payment of $2,500.

Investigators revealed text messages that were exchanged between the inmate and another individual involved in the plot, one of which read: “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update? Was it done?”

The alleged hit was never carried out, and the scheme was ultimately uncovered when prison officials discovered Amato’s contraband phone.

Chilling Photo Suggests Facade on Social Media

Just days before her arrest, Victoria maintained an affectionate image of her marriage online.

She posted a photo of herself and Aaron cuddling with their pet cat, captioning it: “Cuddle puddle with my boys.”

She also shared a Valentine’s Day post from their mini-golf date in Las Vegas, where Goodwin had playfully commented, “My Valentine always beats me at mini-golf.”

The eerie contrast between her public posts and the alleged murder plot has left many stunned.

Despite no convictions, social media users have started slamming Victoria in her comments sections, with one person writing: “His job is chasing demons, little did he know he was living with one. Glad you got caught.”

“There’s no greater declaration of love than ordering a hit and then pretending to be smitten. Poor Aaron,” another added.

Goodwin Blindsided by the Arrest

Aaron Goodwin, 48, best known as the cameraman and co-investigator on Ghost Adventures, was reportedly blindsided and devastated by the revelations.

Speaking to TMZ, Goodwin said he had no idea his wife had allegedly been plotting against him and believed he was in a happy marriage.

The couple, who wed in August 2022 at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.

The two have been friends since Goodwin moved to Nevada around the same time in 2005 to pursue filmmaking. The couple also worked together since the debut of Ghost Adventures back in 2008.

Zak Bagans, Goodwin’s longtime friend and Ghost Adventures co-star, has publicly expressed support for Goodwin, calling it an “emotional time” and stating he is doing his best to be there for him.

Legal Proceedings and Denials

Victoria Goodwin remains in police custody with bail set at $100,000.

She appeared in court on March 11, where she denied ever planning to have her husband killed. She reportedly claimed she was merely “daydreaming or fantasizing” about leaving the marriage.

It is currently unclear what ultimately stopped the alleged hit from happening, but law enforcement officials continue to investigate the case.
