She was diagnosed five years ago with stage 3 leiomyosarcoma
A rare and aggressive cancer of the pulmonary artery, Deborah courageously documented her journey on TikTok. Leiomyosarcoma is one of the rarest forms of cancer, with fewer than 300 cases ever recorded worldwide. Deborah’s diagnosis was even more unusual, as the cancer appeared on her left pulmonary artery, whereas most cases affect the right side. After years of battling the disease, she succumbed to her illness, leaving behind her husband, Paul Finck, and their three sets of twins: Amanda and Alexandra, Stephen and Katerina, and David and Daniel.
In her final TikTok video, Deborah spoke candidly about the struggles of living with cancer, including the depressive episodes it often brought. “I sit here and think, why me? What have I done in this world to make a difference? Maybe this was my purpose,” she shared. She empathized with others who had lost loved ones and encouraged them to find reasons to keep going. “I don’t want to go anywhere either. I really don’t,” she said.
